US Makes Its Move: Trump-C5 Summit Aims for Stake in Central Asia’s Future

The United States is making its move for a stake in Central Asia’s future, with President Donald Trump scheduling a high-level summit with the region’s five leaders for November 6.

This American initiative, confirmed by the leaders of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, is the latest in a series of diplomatic power plays by global powers.

Russia’s traditional dominance has been challenged, and China has been aggressively expanding its economic footprint. The EU has also been active, hosting its own summit in April.

The US is now joining the fray, seeking to build partnerships in the resource-rich region. The C5 hold significant deposits of rare earths and are aspiring to be a key logistics hub.

This summit signals that Washington does not intend to cede the strategically vital region to its rivals and is ready to compete for influence.
